Certified TeethXpress Provider Seal of Approval

Dental implants are a cost-effective, permanent solution to repair missing teeth or gaps in a smile while preserving existing natural teeth.

Dr. Matthew Korn and his team at Aria Dental Implants & Perio are experts in implant dentistry. With their high-quality implants, patients can have the smile they’ve always wanted.

What Is TeethXpress?

TeethXpress is a dental implant service that allows certified providers like Aria Dental Implants & Perio to surgically place immediately loadable implants that can support a temporary prosthesis.

Dr. Korn and his staff work with a TeethXpress to provide patient’s a new set of teeth, custom-made to fit their smile. In some cases, patients can receive same day implants and walk out with a brand-new smile.

All-on-4 and whole-mouth implants are interchangeable terms for a TeethXpress procedure.

What Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone beneath the gum line. The post will fuse to the jawbone during recovery, creating a suitable foundation for tooth restoration.

The dental implant post will replace a missing tooth’s root with the added benefit of stimulating and preserving the jawbone structure, which prevents premature aging and eliminates any previous dietary restrictions.

A single dental implant can replace a missing tooth, and multiple teeth implants, such as an implant-supported bridge or All-On-4, can restore more than one tooth.

Types of Dental Implants

Single Tooth Implants

A single tooth implant or individual implant will act as a stand-alone replacement and does not involve treating the existing teeth nearby.

Failing to treat a missing, damaged, or cracked tooth can cause nearby teeth to shift, lead to bone loss, or cause the remaining teeth to become loose.

If there is one missing tooth or multiple teeth not adjacent to one another, then a single tooth dental implant might be your best option.

Implant-Supported Bridge

Usually, a bridge consists of two crowns on either side of a tooth gap with an artificial tooth held by the crowns in between.

Instead of having the crowns attached to teeth, an implant-supported bridge has crowns that connect to dental implants.

The process is similar to a single tooth dental implant, but the teeth missing in the middle of the gap will not rest on a post fused to the jawbone.

The benefit of an implant-supported bridge is a dentist can securely replace multiple missing teeth in a row without incurring the cost of replacing each tooth.

Full-Mouth Dental Implants

Full-mouth dental implants differ from individual implants and implant-supported bridges due to the use of four posts (typically) to replace an entire arch of multiple teeth, commonly referred to as “All-on-4.” The four dental implants support a fixed prosthesis with 10 to 14 teeth.

Once healed, patients receive a new, custom denture prosthesis that fastens to the dental implants. An All-On-4 dental procedure will replace traditional dentures with customized full-mouth implants that are permanent, secure, and match the aesthetic of a patient’s mouth.

It can take up to four months for the implants to successfully heal and integrate with a patient’s jawline.

Dr. Matthew Korn is a periodontist and oral surgeon with years of experience in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions that affect the foundation of teeth.
